Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the passive voice in Armenian academic writing to emphasize the action or the object rather than the person performing it.
- Use the -վ- infix for passive verbs: 'Գրել' (to write) becomes 'Գրվել' (to be written).
- Omit the agent (the person) to maintain objectivity: 'Հետազոտությունը կատարվեց' (The research was conducted).
- Ensure the verb agrees with the new subject (the object of the active sentence).

Objective Reporting
Describing processes where the actor is irrelevant.
