Use 'que' to connect two ideas about the same person or thing without repeating the noun.
- Use 'que' for both people and things: 'O homem que fala' (The man who speaks).
- Place 'que' immediately after the noun it describes: 'O livro que eu li' (The book that I read).
- Do not translate 'que' as 'o que' or 'quem' in this specific structure.
