Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Spot the 'ة' at the end of a noun to instantly identify it as feminine in Arabic.
- Most nouns ending in ة are feminine: مدرسة (school).
- Nouns without ة are usually masculine: كتاب (book).
- Some words are feminine without ة, like parts of the body: عين (eye).
