Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the subjunctive mood in Armenian when expressing doubt, uncertainty, or denial to signal that the action is not a fact.
- Use subjunctive after verbs of doubt: 'Կասկածում եմ, որ նա գա' (I doubt that he comes).
- Use subjunctive after negative belief: 'Չեմ կարծում, որ նա իմանա' (I don't think he knows).
- Use subjunctive in interrogative doubt: 'Հնարավո՞ր է, որ նա հասցնի' (Is it possible that he makes it?).

Meanings
The subjunctive mood in Armenian is used to express actions that are hypothetical, desired, or uncertain rather than factual.
Doubt and Uncertainty
Used after verbs like 'to doubt' or 'to not believe'.
“Կասկածում եմ, որ նա ճիշտ ասի։”
“Չեմ հավատում, որ նա գա։”
Hypothetical Possibility
Used to express that an event is merely a possibility.
“Գուցե նա գա։”
“Հնարավոր է, որ անձրև տեղա։”
