§ Don't confuse it with 'loud' in English

This sentence implies the music is annoying or disturbing. If you just want to say the music is high in volume, you might use different expressions.
§ Using it for people vs. objects
While you can use 시끄럽다 for both people and inanimate objects, the implication is slightly different. When referring to people, it means they are being noisy or boisterous. When referring to objects, it means the sound they produce is loud and often annoying.

§ Incorrectly using it as a verb
Remember, 시끄럽다 is an adjective. This means it describes a state of being noisy or loud. It's not a verb that performs an action. You cannot directly say 'to noisy' in English, and similarly, you don't use 시끄럽다 as an action verb in Korean. Instead, you use it with a linking verb or transform it into an adverb.
Correct: 시끄럽다 (to be noisy)
Incorrect: 시끄럽해요 (This construction is grammatically incorrect.)
When you want to say something is being done in a noisy manner, you should use the adverbial form 시끄럽게.
그는 시끄럽게 이야기했다. (He talked loudly/noisily.)
§ Overusing it in formal or polite situations
While 시끄럽다 is a common word, directly telling someone 'You are noisy' (당신은 시끄럽습니다/시끄러워요) can be quite direct and even rude in Korean, especially if you're speaking to someone you don't know well or someone older. Koreans often prefer more indirect ways of expressing discomfort or annoyance.
Instead of a direct statement, you might use phrases that express your difficulty hearing or ask for quiet more politely.
More polite: 죄송하지만, 조금 조용히 해주실 수 있으세요? (Excuse me, could you please be a little quieter?)
Even more polite: 잘 안 들려요. (I can't hear well.) - implying that the noise is a problem.
