Conditional Sentences Type II (Unreal Present/Future)

Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

Use Type II to describe imaginary or unlikely situations in the present or future by pairing 'ako' + past tense with the conditional 'bi'.

  • Use 'ako' + past tense (imperfect) for the condition: 'Ako bih imao novca...'
  • Use the conditional mood (bi/biste/bismo) for the result: '...kupio bih auto.'
  • The order doesn't matter: 'Kupio bih auto, ako bih imao novca.'
