Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'kein' to negate nouns that have an indefinite article or no article at all.

Overview

not と no があるよね。ドイツ語には nicht と kein がある。kein は名詞にくっつく no だと考えてみて。冠詞の ein (a/an) とまったく同じように機能するんだ。実は、ein の前に k をくっつけただけなんだよ！ つまり、語尾の変化規則も同じってこと。eine Pizza の言い方を知っていれば、もう keine Pizza の言い方も知っていることになる。それくらい単純なんだ。kein は、くっつく名詞の性によって語尾が変わる。格（主語なら Nominative、目的語なら Accusative）も気にする必要があるよ。心配しないで、今のところはシンプルにいこう。これだけ覚えておいて：kein + 名詞 = No [名詞]（〜がない）。後ろに来る名詞を何でも打ち消してしまうフォースフィールドみたいなものだね。ein Hund がいれば、君は犬の飼い主だ。keinen Hund なら、掃除機はたぶん長持ちするだろうね。

When To Use It
