The را (Ra) Marker: Pointing to Specific Objects

Overview

را (ra) marks definite, specific direct objects. Use ra when the object is specific/known: Ketab ra khandam (I read THE book). Don't use ra for indefinite objects: Ketab khandam (I read a book/books in general).
Ra comes right after the object noun. With pronouns: mara (me), tora (you) — but in modern Persian: man ra → mano (spoken).
