tan و tanto. قد يبدو الأمر للوهلة الأولى بسيطاً، لكنه جوهر التمييز بين «النوع» و «الكمية» في اللغة الإسبانية.tan و tanto يعتمد على مبدأ نحوي أساسي: هل أنت تصف «كيفية» (صفة أو ظرف) أم «كمية» (اسم أو فعل)؟ هذا المفهوم يوازي في العربية الفرق بين الحال والتمييز. عندما تدرك أن tan ثابتة لا تتغير لأنها تصف الصفة، بينما tanto تتغير لأنها تتبع المعدود (الاسم) في النوع والعدد، ستفتح أمامك آفاقاً جديدة للتعبير بدقة.tan و tanto، يجب أن ننظر إليهما من منظور نحوي عربي. tan تعمل كـ «ظرف» (Adverb) للمقارنة، وهي تشبه في وظيفتها «أدوات التشبيه» أو «أدوات التوكيد» التي لا تتغير بتغير الموصوف. هي دائماً تلازم الصفة أو الظرف، تماماً كما نقول في العربية «هو سريع جداً»، فكلمة «جداً» لا تتغير بتذكير أو تأنيث الفاعل.tan لا تتغير أبداً، فهي «جامدة» (Invariable).tanto، فهي قصة مختلفة تماماً. هي تعمل كـ «اسم» أو «صفة» (Adjective) أو «ضمير»، وهذا يعني أنها تخضع لقواعد «المطابقة» (Agreement). في العربية، نحن نغير الكلمات لتناسب العدد والنوع (مذكر/مؤنث، مفرد/جمع)، وهذا بالضبط ما تفعله tanto.tanta للمؤنث، tantos للجمع المذكر، و tantas للجمع المؤنث. عندما تستخدم tanto، فأنت في الحقيقة تقوم بعملية «موازنة» بين كميتين.como (بمعنى «مثل» أو «بقدر»). التركيبة تكون: tan + صفة + como أو tanto + اسم + como. إذا حذفت como، تتحول الجملة إلى أسلوب تعجب أو توكيد، مثل «يا له من...» أو «بقدر كبير!».tanto. إذا كنت تتحدث عن جودة أو صفة معنوية، استخدم tan.tan تبقى ثابتة بينما تتغير tanto بناءً على الاسم الذي يأتي بعدها:Él es tan alto como yo. | هو طويل مثلي. |Tengo tantos amigos como tú. | لدي أصدقاء بقدر ما لديك. |Ellos comen tanto como nosotros. | هم يأكلون بقدر ما نأكل. |- 1

tan. يميل المتعلم العربي لتغييرtanلتصبحtanaأوtanosظناً منه أنها تتبع الصفة. السبب هو تأثرنا بنظام اللغة العربية حيث تتبع الصفة الموصوف في كل شيء. تذكر:tanهي «ظرف» ولا تتبع أحداً.
