For modal verbs like *können* (can), *wollen* (want to), *müssen* (must), *sollen* (should/is supposed to), *dürfen* (may/is allowed to), and *mögen* (like/may), Konjunktiv I forms are particularly important.
The general rule for forming Konjunktiv I is to take the infinitive of the verb, remove the -en ending, and add the appropriate Konjunktiv I endings: -e, -est, -e, -en, -et, -en. For example, from *sagen* (to say), we get *ich sage*, *du sagest*, *er/sie/es sage*, *wir sagen*, *ihr saget*, *sie sagen*.
When reporting questions, Konjunktiv I helps maintain objectivity. Instead of directly asking

سوالات رایج (6)

خیلی کم. توی مکالمات روزمره آلمانی‌ها یا از حالت عادی فعل استفاده می‌کنن یا می‌گن 'er sagt, dass...' و بعدش فعل عادی میارن. این بیشتر مال گوینده‌های خبر و روزنامه‌نگارهاست.

این خیلی رایج‌تره.
خیلی رایجه و اصلاً مشکلی نداره! اگه بگی 'Sie sagte, sie könnte kommen,' کاملاً طبیعی به نظر میاد. کونژونکتیو ۱ فقط یه کم حرفه‌ای‌تر و عینی‌تره.

کاملاً قابل قبوله.
یه Mood فعله که برای گزارش حرفای غیرمستقیم استفاده میشه. به شنونده میگه داری حرف یا سوال یه نفر دیگه رو میگی. مثلاً:
Er sagt, er sei müde.
بله! 'Möchten' Konjunktiv II هست. Konjunktiv I بیشتر برای گزارش کردنه، نه درخواست مودبانه مستقیم. مثلاً:
Ich möchte einen Kaffee.
حالت امری برای دستور دادن مستقیمه. اگه داری حرف کسی دیگه رو نقل می‌کنی، استفاده از حالت امری باعث میشه که انگار خودت الان داری دستور میدی، مثلاً نمی‌تونی بگی: Geh! (برو!) در حالی که داری حرف مدیرت رو نقل می‌کنی.
'Man solle' از نظر رسمی تو نقل قول درسته. 'Man soll' توی صحبت‌های معمولی رایجه ولی از نظر فنی، حالت 'گزارش شده' نیست. مثل اینه که بگی:
Man soll es machen
(باید انجامش داد) در مقابل
Man solle es machen
(گفته شد که باید انجامش داد).
