Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

کی استفاده کنیم
not as funny as') و تو هر نقد محصول آمازون ('این کابل همونقدر بلنده که لازم داشتم - as long as').as beautiful as) کارتپستالهاست!') یا حتی فقط پیام دادن به یه دوست درباره یه قرار بد ('اون به جذابیِ (wasn't as cute as) عکس پروفایلش نبود'). این ساختارِ همیشگی برای هر سناریوییه که باید دو تا گزینه رو با هم بسنجی.as soon as possible (ASAP) هم استفاده میشه، که معنیش میشه «در زمانی که برابر با زودترین لحظه ممکنه». کاش پیک پیتزام هم به سرعتِ اینترنتم بود.
اشتباهات رایج
as better as یا as taller as. این کارو نکن! صفت رو ساده نگه دار: as good as، as tall as. مثل اینه که دو تا کلاه رو همزمان سرت کنی — زیادیه دیگه. یه اشتباه رایج دیگه استفاده از than به جای as دومیه. شاید بشنوی 'This coffee is as hot than lava.' نه خیر. درستش as hot as هست. قانون ساندویچ یادت بمونه: نون باید هر دو طرفش یکی باشه. همچنین، as دوم رو کلاً فراموش نکن. گفتنِ 'She is as smart her sister' شنونده رو معلق نگه میداره، انگار منتظر نیمه دیگه پُل موندن. در آخر، حواست به so...as باشه. با اینکه تو جملات منفی اشکالی نداره (not so big as)، اما یه کم قدیمی به نظر میاد. بچسب به همون not as big as تا شبیه یه آدم قرن بیست و یکمی به نظر برسی.مقایسه با الگوهای مشابه

'You run like a cheetah' یه تشبیهه، اما 'You run as fast as a cheetah' یه مقایسه گرامریه. یکی شاعرانهست؛ اون یکی دقیقه.as...as استفاده کن. تفاوتش مثل گفتن اینه که یه نفر 'like a boss' (مثل رئیسه) با اینکه بگی اون 'as hard-working as a boss' (به سختکوشیِ یه رئیسه).سؤالات رایج
