حال استمراری: کارهایی که الان در حال انجام هستند
actions in progress برای کارایی که همین الان دارن انجام میشن، temporary states برای موقعیتهای موقتی و definite future arrangements برای برنامههای قطعی آینده. همهشون با be + -ing ساخته میشن.
Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use the Present Continuous to describe actions happening exactly at this moment or temporary situations in your life.
- Combine the verb 'to be' (am/is/are) with a verb ending in '-ing'. Example: 'I am eating.'
- Add 'not' after 'to be' for negatives. Example: 'She is not (isn't) working.'
- Move 'to be' to the front for questions. Example: 'Are you listening?'

Present Continuous هست. زندگی رو در حال حرکت ثبت میکنه.Present Simple مثل یک عکس ثابت از عادتهاته، Present Continuous مثل یک ویدیو با کیفیت بالاست (HD). به ما میگه دقیقاً در همین لحظه چه اتفاقی داره میافته.Uber پنج دقیقه دورتره ازش استفاده میکنی. همون زمانی که برای تیکتاکی که داری همین الان میگیری به کار میبری.این گرامر چطور کار میکنه
to be هست و بخش دیگه فعل اصلیت با پسوند -ing.I eating، شبیه یه انسان غارنشین گرسنه به نظر میرسی. اگه بگی I am eat، شبیه یه ربات خراب به نظر میای.to be مثل موتور عمل میکنه؛ بسته به اینکه چه کسی داره کار رو انجام میده، تغییر میکنه. بخش -ing هم مثل محموله (بار) هست؛ برای همه ثابت میمونه.
الگوی ساخت
to be رو اضافه کن (am, are, is).
-ing رو به آخر فعل بچسبون.
ING به چشم In Next Gear (در دنده بعدی) نگاه کن. یعنی اون عمل داره رو به جلو حرکت میکنه.
کی استفاده کنیم
سوم، برای روندهای در حال تغییر.The weather is getting warmer." (هوا داره گرمتر میشه).
Electric cars are becoming more popular.(ماشینهای برقی دارن محبوبتر میشن). و در نهایت، برای برنامههای آینده که ۱۰۰٪ قطعی شدن. "I'm meeting Sarah at the café at 5 PM." این زمان مثل تقویم دیجیتالت در قالب فعل میمونه.
Present Simple استفاده کن. اگه توی این بازه زمانی خاص داره اتفاق میافته، Present Continuous رو به کار ببر. فرقش مثل I work at Google(شغلمه) و "I'm working at Google today" (امروز به طور فیزیکی اونجام) هست.
اشتباهات رایج
am یا is یا are رو فراموش میکنن. مثلاً میگن He working به جای اینکه بگن He is working. این مثل این میمونه که بخوای با ماشین بدون موتور رانندگی کنی. یه اشتباه دیگه «تلهی افعال حالتی» (Stative Verbs) هست. بعضی از فعلها با
-ing میونه خوبی ندارن. اینها احساسات یا حالات رو توصیف میکنن، نه کارها رو. نمیتونی بگی "I'm liking this pizza.« با اینکه مکدونالد میگه »I'm lovin' it«، اما توی گرامر سختگیرانه باید بگیم »I like this pizza.مثالهای دیگهbe knowing" نمیکنی؛ تو فقط اون رو میدونی (wantوknowوneedوbelieveهستن. تو چیزی رو
know). دیکته هم ممکنه کمی چالشبرانگیز باشه. اگه یه فعل کوتاه به صامت-مصوت-صامت ختم بشه، حرف آخر رو دوتا میکنی. Run میشه running. Sit میشه sitting. اگه به e ختم میشه، حذفش کن! Make میشه making. نذار حروف اضافه گیجت کنن؛ اونا فقط میخوان کمی باکلاس به نظر بیان!مقایسه با الگوهای مشابه
Present Continuous زمان Present Simple هست. Present Simple رو به عنوان زمان «همیشه/معمولاً» در نظر بگیر. این زمان برای حقایق، عادتها و چیزهایی که کلاً درست هستن استفاده میشه.The sun rises in the east.(خورشید از شرق طلوع میکنه).
I drink tea every morning.(من هر روز صبح چای میخورم). اما
Present Continuous زمان «همین الان/موقتی» هست.I live in Madrid.
(اینجا خونهی دائمی منه.)I am living in Madrid.
(این موقتی به نظر میرسه، شاید فقط برای یه ترم تحصیلی.)
He plays guitar.(اون مهارتش رو داره؛ گیتاریسته.)He is playing guitar.
(هیس! همین الان توی اتاق بغلی داره گیتار میزنه!)

آیا میتونم از Present Continuous برای آینده استفاده کنم؟
بله! اگه یه برنامه قطعی باشه. "I'm flying to NYC tomorrow."
اگه دقیقاً در همین ثانیه اون کار رو انجام نمیدم چی؟
اگه یه «پروژه» توی زندگیت باشه، باز هم حساب میشه. "I'm reading a great book" درسته، حتی اگه اون کتاب همین الان روی پاتختیت باشه.
چرا دوست انگلیسی من میگه "I'm having a bath« اما دوست آمریکایی من میگه »I'm taking a bath"؟
هردوشون درستن! هردوشون از Present Continuous استفاده میکنن تا عملی رو توصیف کنن که در حال انجامه.
اشکالی نداره بگم "I'm loving this"؟
توی مکالمات دوستانه، بله! زبان همیشه در حال تغییره. اما توی امتحان انگلیسی، همون I love this رو بنویس.

Meanings
The Present Continuous describes actions that are currently in progress at the time of speaking or temporary actions happening around now.
