Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
When you ask someone to do something in Spanish, use 'que' followed by the subjunctive mood.
- Use 'pedir' or 'decir' + 'que' + subjunctive: 'Te pido que vengas.'
- The subject of the first verb must be different from the second: 'Quiero que tú limpies.'
- If the request is negative, the subjunctive still applies: 'Te pido que no llegues tarde.'

pedir que ركيزة أساسية في اللغة الإسبانية للتعبير عن الطلبات، وهي أداة لا غنى عنها لأي متعلم يرغب في الانتقال من أسلوب الأمر المباشر الفج إلى أسلوب أكثر تهذيباً واحترافية. في العربية، نحن نستخدم غالباً أفعال الطلب مثل «أطلب منك أن...» أو «أرجو منك أن...»، وهذا التركيب يشبه إلى حد كبير ما نقوم به في الإسبانية. ومع ذلك، يكمن التحدي الحقيقي في أن اللغة الإسبانية تفرض استخدام «صيغة الشك» أو ما يعرف بـ subjuntivo بعد كلمة que، وهو مفهوم يختلف عن النحو العربي حيث نستخدم غالباً الفعل المضارع المنصوب أو المرفوع بعد أدوات النصب أو حروف العطف.que يجب أن يتحول إلى subjuntivo.pedir que على قاعدة ذهبية تسمى «قاعدة الفاعلين المختلفين». لكي نستخدم subjuntivo بعد que، يجب أن يكون فاعل الجملة الأولى (الشخص الذي يطلب) مختلفاً عن فاعل الجملة الثانية (الشخص الذي سيقوم بالفعل). في النحو العربي، نستخدم أحياناً المصدر، مثل «أطلب منك المساعدة»، لكن في الإسبانية، عندما ندخل que، فنحن نفتح باباً لجملة فرعية (Subordinate clause) تتطلب تصريفاً خاصاً.- العربية: أطلبُ (فاعل 1) منك أن تكتبَ (فاعل 2) التقرير.
