Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds

The passive voice shifts focus from the doer to the action by changing vowel patterns in the verb.

  • Change the first vowel to a damma (u) and the penultimate to a kasra (i). Example: kutiba (was written).
  • The object of the active sentence becomes the subject of the passive sentence.
  • The original doer is omitted or introduced with 'min qibal' (by).
Active: [Doer] + [Verb] + [Object] -> Passive: [Object] + [Passive Verb]

la pizza fue comida
para no admitir que *tú* te la comiste? Aquí es donde brilla la Voz Pasiva.
Te permite hablar de una acción ocultando completamente a quien la hizo. En español usamos fue o se. El árabe lo hace cambiando solo las vocales.
Es como cambiar el filtro de una foto: misma imagen, diferente estilo.
Resumen
La Voz Pasiva (en árabe: *Al-Mabni lil-Majhul*, literalmente
construido para lo desconocido
) cambia el foco del autor al receptor de la acción. Úsala cuando el autor es desconocido, obvio o quieres mantenerlo en secreto. Hace que tus frases suenen más objetivas o simplemente evasivas.
Cómo funciona esta gramática
El árabe no añade palabras extra. Cambia las vocales internas (los sonidos cortos).
  • Piensa en la voz Activa como la configuración por defecto.
  • La voz Pasiva es un remix de las vocales.
  • Mantienes las mismas letras raíz (como K-T-B para escribir).
  • Cambias las vocales cortas a una melodía Pasiva específica.
Patrón de Formación
Para verbos de 3 letras (Forma I), el cambio es constante. Todo gira en torno a la Damma (sonido u).

Cuándo usarlo
Úsalo en estas tres situaciones:
  • El Misterio: Realmente no sabes quién lo hizo.
  • Mi cartera fue robada.

  • La llamada a la oración fue escuchada.
    (Obviamente por el almuédano).

Errores Comunes
  • La Trampa del Por: En español decimos
    El libro fue escrito por Naguib Mahfouz
    . En árabe, NO hagas esto. No uses pasiva con min qibal (por) para nombrar al autor. Si sabes quién fue, usa la voz activa.
  • *Mal:* kutiba ar-risāla min qibal Ahmad.
  • *Bien:* kataba Ahmad ar-risāla (Ahmad escribió la carta).
  • Pereza Vocálica: Si no pronuncias la u claro, sonará a voz activa. Kutiba es pasiva; Kataba es activa. La diferencia es pequeña pero vital.

The passive voice is used to describe an action where the agent (doer) is unknown, irrelevant, or intentionally hidden.
