अगर बारिश होगी, तो मैं नहीं जाऊँगा(إذا أمطرت، لن أذهب). هنا نستخدم المستقبل البسيط في الطرفين. - 2الحقائق العامة (General Truths): تستخدم لوصف قوانين الطبيعة أو العادات. مثال:
अगर आप रोज़ व्यायाम करते हैं, तो आप स्वस्थ रहते हैं(إذا تمرنت يومياً، تبقى بصحة جيدة). - 3الشرط غير الحقيقي (Unreal/Hypothetical): وهو الأهم للمستوى المتوسط. نستخدمه للتمني أو الندم. هنا نستخدم
होता(كان) كجزء من التركيب. مثال:अगर तुम कल आए होते, तो हम मिलते(لو جئت أمس، لكنا التقينا). لاحظ هنا استخدامआए होतेلتعبر عن الماضي الذي لم يحدث.

तो: المتحدث العربي يميل لحذف أداة الربط لأن العربية لا تستخدمها. الخطأ:अगर तुम आओगे, मैं आऊँगा(صحيح لغوياً لكنه يبدو ركيكاً). التصحيح:अगर तुम आओगे, तो मैं आऊँगा. - 2الخلط بين المستقبل والشرط الخيالي: المتحدث العربي قد يستخدم المستقبل في جملة خيالية بسبب تأثره بتركيبات لغته الأم. مثال: قول
अगर मैं अमीर हूँ, तो मैं कार खरीदूँगाبدلاً منअगर मैं अमीर होता, तो मैं कार खरीदता. السبب هو أننا في العربية نستخدم أحياناً «إذا» للمستقبل البعيد، بينما في الهندية يجب استخدام صيغة الماضي الافتراضيहोता. - 3تكرار
अगर: يميل البعض لترجمة «إذا... فإذا...» حرفياً. في الهندية،अगरتظهر مرة واحدة فقط في بداية جملة الشرط. لا تكررها في جواب الشرط.
