Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use {下去|xiàqù} after a verb to express that an action is continuing into the future.
- Add {下去|xiàqù} after a verb to show continuation: {说下去|shuō xiàqù} (keep talking).
- Use it to describe an action that started and is expected to continue: {写下去|xiě xiàqù} (keep writing).
- For negative forms, use {下去|xiàqù} with {不|bù}: {不能说下去|bù néng shuō xiàqù} (cannot continue talking).
