Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use -기 전에 to describe an action that happens before another action; just attach -기 전에 to the verb stem.
- Attach -기 전에 directly to the verb stem: 먹다 -> 먹기 전에 (Before eating).
- The tense of the final verb determines the sentence's overall time frame.
- Use -기 전에 with nouns by adding '전에' directly: 식사 전에 (Before a meal).
