Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
To talk about completed actions with -ir verbs, remove the -ir and add the specific past tense endings for each person.
- For 'eu', add -i: Partir -> Part-i (I left).
- For 'você/ele/ela', add -iu: Partir -> Part-iu (He/she left).
- For 'nós', add -imos: Partir -> Part-imos (We left).
