más + صفت + que (به معنی «بیشتر از») استفاده میکنیم. اما درست مانند زبان فارسی که در آن برای مفاهیمی مثل «خوب» و «بد»، صفتهای تفضیلی خاصی داریم (مثلاً نمیگوییم «خوبتر»، بلکه میگوییم «بهتر»)، در زبان اسپانیایی نیز چهار صفت پرکاربرد وجود دارند که از قاعده کلی پیروی نمیکنند. این چهار صفت عبارتند از: mejor (بهتر)، peor (بدتر)، mayor (بزرگتر/مسنتر) و menor (کوچکتر/جوانتر).más قبل از آنها استفاده کنیم.*más mejor (بیشتر بهتر) از نظر یک اسپانیاییزبان کاملاً غلط و غیرطبیعی است، درست مثل اینکه در فارسی بگوییم «بیشتر بهتر» که در زبان ما هم بیمعنی است. درک این نکته که این کلمات خودشان ذاتاً تفضیلی هستند، کلید تسلط بر این بخش از گرامر است. برای شما به عنوان یک فارسیزبان، این ساختار باید تا حدودی آشنا باشد، چرا که ما هم در فارسی از کلمات جایگزین استفاده میکنیم، اما تفاوت اصلی در نحوه توافق این کلمات با اسم (از نظر تعداد) است که در ادامه به آن میپردازیم.más bueno استفاده کنید، بلکه باید مستقیماً از mejor استفاده کنید. این کلمات در نقش صفت تفضیلی عمل میکنند و به همین دلیل نیازی به más ندارند.las películas (فیلمها)، باید بگوییم mejores (بهترها). با این حال، خبر خوب این است که این کلمات از نظر «جنسیت» (مذکر یا مؤنث بودن) تغییر نمیکنند. یعنی mejor هم برای el libro (مذکر) و هم برای la mesa (مؤنث) یکسان باقی میماند.[فاعل] + [فعل] + [صفت تفضیلی] + que + [مورد مقایسه]Tu coche es mejor que el mío. MayorوMenor: اینها برای سن و سال به کار میروند. مثلاًMi hermano mayor(برادر بزرگترم) وMi hermana menor(خواهر کوچکترم). علاوه بر سن، برای مفاهیم انتزاعی هم کاربرد دارند. مثلاًmayor importancia(اهمیت بیشتر) یاmenor cantidad(مقدار کمتر).
mayor برای اشاره به افراد مسن، بسیار محترمانه است. برخلاف viejo که گاهی میتواند بار معنایی منفی داشته باشد، persona mayor به معنای فردی با تجربه و بزرگ است.- 1استفاده از
