Grammar Rule in 30 Seconds
Use 'Yeh' for things nearby and 'Voh' for things further away to point out objects or people.
- Use 'यह' (yeh) for items close to you: यह किताब है (This is a book).
- Use 'वह' (voh) for items far from you: वह घर है (That is a house).
- These words function as both 'this/that' (adjective) and 'he/she/it' (pronoun) depending on context.
Overview
यह (yah) para 'este/esta/isto' e वह (vah) para 'aquele/aquela/aquilo'. A grande diferença é que, enquanto em português a gente tem uma variação enorme de gênero (este, esta, estes, estas, aquele, aquela, aqueles, aquelas), no Hindi, a base desses pronomes não muda conforme o gênero.यह; se está longe, use वह.यह (yah) é para o que está 'aqui' (perto de mim) e वह (vah) é para o que está 'lá' (longe de mim).यह (yah) vira ये (ye) e वह (vah) vira वो (vo).होना (honā - ser/estar). Se o sujeito é singular, o verbo é है (hai). Se é plural ou se você está usando o pronome de respeito, o verbo vira हैं (hain).Pronome + Substantivo + Verbo.
